What Causes Weight Gain While On Amiodarone And Eliquis For AFib?

I have been diagnosed with AFIB and it seems to be persistent. I am a 74 year old male in good health and am very active. I walk at least 5 miles a day, play golf 3 times a week and am a dragon boat paddler. I also go to the gym at least 3 times a week. I have been prescribed cordizem, eliquis, and amiodorane (200mg). In the last two months I have gained over 10 lbs and have not changed my diet nor physical activity level. Could the meds be slowing my metabolisim? I never know when I am in AFIB and never feel shortness of breadth etc.

There is no evidence that any of the above medication cause weight gain. Amiodarone may cause hypothyroidism. You have to check T3, T4, TSH levels. Hypothyroidism can cause weight gain.
