What Causes Weight Gain Post Novasure Ablation?

Hi, I had the novasure ablation 10 months ago and since then I have increased weight, I ve always been slim so I am worried this is because of the procedure? I also had a laparoscopy nearly 3 months ago for a burst corpus lutueual cys. Also since my novasure procedure my periods have stopped completely which is great, but is this way I have gained weight also? Thanks in advance (I m 28 and I have endometriosis, lupus, fibromyalgia, hyper mobility, osteoporosis, osteoarthritis and POTs)

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It is not the novasure ablation, but the absence of menses which has altered the hypothalamus pituitary axis and secondary weight gain. You need starting of menses for weight control. Kindly consult your OBGYN and get necessary guidelines for the same.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
