What Causes Weight Gain After Discontinuation Of Librium, Clofranil Nexito Forte?

my son is suffering with alchohal additiciton and depression.our doctor advided to take tablets as follows.tablet libirum 10 mg three times. clofranil 10 mg morning andnight 2 time daily and nexito forte 10mg at night time. he took the medicine as advised bythe doctor for the last four months. because of this treatement he is acting normal. But now he refused to take medicine stating he is gaining body weight . body pain and piles complaint. due to stoppage of medicine his acitivity is not so good.kinly advise me in this regard

Clofranil and Nexito forte both have side effect of incresed appetite and weight pain, sometimes abdominal pain.
I suggest you share this with your doctor. We need to determine whether the good effects are more or the side effects are troubling more and then take a step. How is your sons mental state and addiction to alcohol?
As you are aware all medicines have certain side effects alongwith the effectiveness.
