What Causes Weakness And Lack Of Energy In A 79-year-old With A Pace Maker?

I am 79 and have had a pace maker defibulator for many years.

After returning from a week long trip via airplane, I am experiencing a weakness of strength and lack of energy that I had prior to the trip.

I recently saw my internist and cardiologist and tests do not indicate any problems.

Hi,

Weakness and feeling of lack of energy in old age may be caused by several conditions like infections, geriatric endocrine disorders etc. which are not related to the pacemaker. You should consult a geriatrician for further investigations and management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. M Thakur,
