What Causes Weakness And Dizziness While On Tramadol?

I take Lyrica 150x2 and Tramadol, 50 am and 100 pm, for pain espec in legs and feet. Since taking the Tramadol I have extreme weakness, dizziness, espec when standing from setting position, trouble breathing, severe sleeping problems, sweats, memory problems, constipation/diarrhea. What can I use to replace the Tramadol and eliminate the previous conditions. I also have Prostate cancer and just completed radiation--5 days a wk for 9 wks, along with one injection of Lupron. Thanks, Norm Wells

Hi,

First of all, it's sad to know what you had been going through lately.

Based on the history you have shared, tramadol can cause a few of these side effects but others can be aftereffects of the radiation. You may also need to have a review by your primary care doctor to rule out any possibility of radiation side effects as well as underlying anxiety due to the illness-related restlessness.

Lyrica can also cause dizziness and troubles from standing after sitting and should also be reviewed. If pain isn't severe you may consider safer analgesics like acetaminophen or non-steroidal, anti-inflammatory drugs like celecoxib. Antidepressants like duloxetine may be helpful with sleep as well as nerve-related pains.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
