What Causes Watery Eyes, Itchy Nose And Excessive Sneezing?

Hi, I have a serious allergic reaction in my nose eyes and throat, I have watery Eyes, itching and irritating nose, and sneezing continues many times. The main problem is that, especially during night after 12, my breathing causes asthma like different sounds and I cannot breathe. I have to breathe forcefully. When I forcefully breathe, my throat irritates and serious coughing starts. Even when I try to laugh, I starts coughing. This is continuing around 8 months. I have visited many doctors but of no use. I am taking the medicines Defza, Alerfix and azithral. Doctors say that it is asthma like. I dont think this is asthma. Plaese help

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of watery eyes, itchy nose and excessive sneezing which seems to be due to sinusitis. In your case it seems to me that the symptoms are due to sinus infection also known as sinusitis. Need not to worry. Consult ENT specialist without any delay . Doctor may order blood test , X-ray , CT scan or throat swab test to confirm the diagnosis. Doctor may prescribe antibiotic course like penicillin or amoxicillin , decongestant , antihistamine drug for cough and sneezing and mucolytic agent like ambroxol. I would suggest you to do warm saline rinses several times a day , take steam several times day and drink warm water with one spoon honey in it.
