What Causes Water Retention In The Body While Suffering With UTI Infection?

Hi i think i have uti, i have also been drinking alot of water and cranberry juice but i feel as if it hasn t helped me as i have gained over 5 pounds of water weight and when i urinate, the amount i piss is quite less to what it should be considering i drink aprrox 3litres of water. what can i do to relieve myself from this problem.

Hi,
From history it seems that there might be having some more problem with your kidneys rather than simple urinary tract infection.
You might require some more investigations to rule out any problem in your kidneys.
Go for routine urine check up, ultra sound of kidneys and kidney function tests like S. creatinine, blood urea, sodium and potassium estimation.
After all reports your doctor will come to proper diagnosis and then plan of treatment can be decided.
