What Causes Warm/heated Veins Below Knee?

I have a green vein that looks like a snake from below knee to above the knee a little on my inner thigh? It bubbles and feels heated and raised?
What can i do about it and why is is happening? can i get this vein drained or removed. I'm only 35 and my other thight/ knee is in perfect condition?

This appears to be a varicose vein around the knee. It can be tackled with open surgery, laser ablation or sclerotherapy.
