What Causes Vomiting With Nausea And Dizziness?

Hello. My 82 year old mother had a CTscan of the brain yesterday. They found old left gangliocapsular infarctions.

She was having vomiting, nausea & dizziness. Are these previous TIAs? or could they be meningioma? Would you see further treatment from a neurologist? Thank you.

Hi,
Thanks for asking.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows.
1. Nausea, vomiting and dizziness could be due to increase pressure in the central nervous system.
2. Intracranial pressure evaluation can confirm it to be the cause. CT scan would have shown if there were any meningioma or other lesions.
3. Old infarctions would not cause these symptoms. Also need to look for local causes like gastritis or medications side effects. More details necessary for further opinion.
Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
