What Causes Vomiting While Suffering From Hiatal Hernia?

I have a hiatal hernia , and severe herd at times. Have been vomiting daily for 7 days. Been to Er and Gastroenterologist having another endoscopic procedure soon. My question, can the pressure on the vagus nerve from the protruding stomach into the hiatus cause irretractable vomiting. All heart problems have been ruled out.
