What Causes Vomiting Up Of Milk By A Child After Every Feed?

I have a 4 months old granddaughter that is a preemie...weighed 1.6oz at birth....She is 4 mos now and about 7lbs. She vomits her milk up about 15 mins after every feeding. I give her about 2-3 ozs...burp her and about 1 more oz...burp her again. She is on Enofmil for babies born prematurely. She is also wearing a heart monitor to monitor her breathing and heart. What else could possibly cause her to regurgitation after each feeding besides acid reflux?

In my opinion babies do regurgitate commonly.beside acid reflux problem other causes includes overfeeding, frequent feeding, faulty burping techniques.

To avoid such probles I usually advice to my patient

1. Avoid excessive feeding.Keep demand feeding or feed 2-3 hourly.

2.burping should be for at least 20-25 min, with proper technique.

Hopefully I have answered your query.

Regards.
