What Causes Vomiting Followed By Fainting And Tremors In The Arms?

My daughter vomits then loses consciousness and then eyes dialate, jaw clenches, with odd arm movements. This has been recurring but getting worse recently. This time she vomited while still unconscious. One time at MD office, she fainted unwitnessed after vaccine HPV and MD found her on floor, hit her head and incontinent. ECG at age 10 show some questionable abnormalities, sleep deprived EEG considered normal. Now and I think she got the flu when this vomiting cycle started (pretty violent vomiting) and she had LOC with fast pulse then very slow pulse, eye movements and arm movements, the after 30 seconds to 1 minute comes back and is confused. She has vomited more than 15 times this week each time with Loc and stopped breath and movements. We know she has low ferritin, and needs salt. She knows to cross legs and lay down, but these symptoms occurred while she was in bed. We see PCP tomorrow. What should I ask the Md??

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

From the symptoms that you described, this looks like a case of epilepsy with tonic clonic variant. You should get her examined by a Neurologist. He may advice an MRI brain with epilepsy protocol to look for any structural abnormality. You should tell the doctor about:

-Any significant history like any similar illness in your family.
-Your pregnancy details during the time of your daughter's conception.
-Any history of febrile seizures (similar episodes when she had fever) as a child.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
