What Causes Vomiting And Severe Stomach Ache?

Help please. I am vomiting, unable to eat or drink without severe stomach pain. My dr has me on antibiotics for diverticulitis. I had a positive FIT test. I am not able to move my bowels despite laxatives, fibre tablets. I am losing weight rapidly. Symptoms for about a month. Could not do colonoscopy due to stool despite prep.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

As per your history, it may be due to diverticulitis.

For that, I would suggest you do Colonoscopy after gastroenterologist consultation.

Till then you can take tablet ondansetron, tablet cyclopam after consultation.

In case of vomiting and not passing gas, don't take anything orally. You may require further evaluation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shyam B. Kale, General & Family Physician
