What Causes Vomiting And Esophageal Bleeding?

hi, last night after dinner, I suddenly had the urge to vomit. it was sudden and rather violent. I have not had a virus or any symptoms. My esophagus bled some. it was bright red blood. There was no evidence of bleeding once I finished vomiting. My throat is pretty sore today. I am 47 and have had peptic ulcers as a child and some digestive issues.

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, you already have the peptic ulcer, now this could be GERD (Gastroesophageal Reflex Disease ) this cause the inflammation of esophagus which may bleed then, the best treatment for this is PPI (Proton pump Inhibitor) and this need to be continued for 6 weeks, following is the drugs
1) Tab Omeprazole 40 mg once in day
2) Tab Domperidone 30 mg once in day
stop smoking, alcohol, coffee prior to bed, eat more alkali diet, like leafy vegetable, green salad, avoid citric fruits, hope this information helps, take care, have a nice day.
