What Causes Vomiting And Diarrhea In A Diabetic Having Liver Disease?

My wife has been vomiting and had diarrhea since about 2am. She hasn t vomited since about 9am but can t keep water or chicken broth in. As soon as she drinks she has to go to the bathroom. She hasn t had anything to eat since 1030 pm. She is also diabetic type 2 and has fatty liver disease non alcohol related. Her temperature recently has fluctuated between 95°and 97°F. Any thoughts?
