Psychiatrist 's  Response
hello user , i understand your concern and yes you should be concerned with these kind of symptoms . the blood in vomiting and stool are indicative of alcoholic liver disease , possibly with cirrhosis . although there could be other causes too like esophagitis, peptic ulcer , gastritis etc. his liver enzymes like ast & alt are raised , and bilirubin is borderline high , but he require further investigations like some imaging like usg abdomen, endoscopy and some blood tests like prothrombin time ,INR etc , best to consult a gastroenterologist for the same - he should quit alcohol for recovery , but quitting suddenly may result in troublesome withdrawl symptoms so better to do that under supervision of a psychiatrist/addiction specialist . hope i answered your query , if satisfied please rate the answer- any followup queries are welcome
