What Causes Vomiting After Running A Long Distance?

My 15 year old son is running cross country this year and he has thrown up several times during runs, which everyone says is somewhat normal, but 2 times he has thrown up about an hour after practice....is this a result of dehydration or should I be more concerned?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

For sure the dehydration should be considered, but in my opinion its better to have Holter monitor for the profitability of high HR.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
