What Causes Vomiting After Every Meal In An Infant?
My infant is throwing up and after most feedings and it is clear but mucus-y. She cries when she is done eating until she throws up. I thought she was throwing up due to gulping and getting air but just noticed the consistency to be like mucus. She sleeps for long stretches. She is 6 weeks and gaining weight. Born 8 lbs 11 oz and was almost 13 lbs at her one month check.

As per your query about vomiting after every meal in a 6 weeks infant can be due to many causes like improper position while feeding or feeding artificial milk formulae or inadequate burping. While feeding baby nearly upright position is best and after that burping should be done. Try to feed breast milk as it is easy digestible and helps in baby's growth in every way.
Vomiting can also occur because of over feeding in such small infant and their gastric motility is more but as the baby gaining weight properly you need not worry. Try to give your feed frequently and if baby not taking feed properly and vomiting more you should consult a pediatrician. Do not worry about sleeping hrs as she is just 6 weeks she can sleep up to 15-18 hrs also.
