Good day, We went out on Saturday night, had a couple of drinks. Sunday morning from about 4am I started vomiting. I slept for a couple of hours and started to vomit again. I ve never in my life vomited to badly and so much. I couldn t even keep a sip of water in. It eventually stopped around 2pm. But now I have serve burning pain in my upper abdominal after eating. And a very sore and uncomfortable feeling at the top of my stomach (top of my ribcage). The burning pain in my stomach comes and goes. I am scared it is an ulcer or maybe a hernia? Any advice would help. Regards Celicia.
It seems it is gastritis/esophagitis due to alcohol. Vomiting is a common symptom that may indicate irritation of stomach by alcohol. Alcohol is known to cause such vomiting especially when you consume it empty stomach or along with non-steroidal pain killer medicine or smoking. Advice 1. Omeprazole 20 mg once daily per oral empty stomach for 7 days 2. Domperidone 10 mg per oral when you feel nausea 3. Avoid alcohol, smoking, spicy food, and non-steroidal pain killer for few days
I hope this information will help you. I will be happy if you ask another question Thanks
