Why would potatoes cause a vodka tasting vomit the next morning? DETAILS: Sometimes if I eat potatoes (and don t drink lots of water) the next day I have what feels like a massive hangover. If I drink water (which is the only thing I feel like) I get a foamy vomit followed by a yellow colored vomit. (it seems as though something has absorbed into the stomach line). I have to repeat this several times until vomit doesn t taste like vodka, then I can hold down food and water. The splitting headache of the potato morning feels like a combination of a C clamp on my head and a pain behind one of my eyes, this probably takes about 4 to 5 good flushes to get the vodka taste out of my stomach, and then a few hours to recover from the headache and nausea.
