What Causes Visual Hallucinations While On Fentanyl Patch?
my mom has fetanyl patches she has no muscle in her hip she has been on these for a long time she has started seeing snakes in under the washing machine several people have been called to look no one has seen this but her will the fetanyl patches cause you to see things that are not really there?
A bit of an early assumption in my opinion, as we will need more instances and also many more different suspected hallucinatory subjects (i.e. other than snakes), to suspect hallucinations. Because if only one item was see and is suspected not to be present, that is not substantial enough, and if a person were to be hallucinating then they should see either the same subject (i.e. the snake in this scenario) in different locations, or different subjects in different locations.
But FYI, it can lead to confusion and blurry vision which can either individually or together result in what she is experiencing, but do wait for a few more instances to confirm this.
Best wishes.
