What Causes Visual Episodes While Driving?

Hi I am a female 35yrs old. A couple of weeks ago while driving I started do feel like I have been hypnotized by the road. Almost like if I was driving in a 3D video game. I was able to stop on the side of the road and call for help. The next day on my way to work the same thing happened this time I was taken to the ER where I was diagnosed with Vertigo. I was told this was due to stress and I was able to drive home. Well I was not nor have I been able to drive since this incident due to the fact that I don t feel like I m in control of my car and I get anxious when I have these episodes. I went to my family doctor who thinks is vertigo but I refuse to take this as diagnosis because I m not dizzy or nauseous. I only have this visual episodes where as I explain its like if I m getting hypnotized by the road. Please help!
