Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been experiencing vertigo since last night, right after doing some exercises to strengthen my back. These are done laying down. When I went to sit up on the edge of the bed, I felt like I was going to tip over. I then just went to bed for the night, but continued to feel dizzy even while laying on my back. ???

1. One possible cause could be low blood glucose [not eating carbohydrate/ protein rich diet] before workout which may cause blood sugar to drop and thus feeling light headed/dizziness. PS. overexerting or being under hydrated are other possible factors.
2. Consult with a Medicine or ENT specialist regarding BPV [benign positional vertigo] who can let you know about exercises which can help you to improve your balance.
3. best is to properly warm up your body prior to exercise which helps the heart to adjust itself to blood requirement by muscles and also staying hydrated will prevent dizziness from heat and dehydration
