What Causes Verruca Plana Lesions On The Face?

Sir, I got verruca plana lesions firstly on nose six months ago. Then it got spread to my eyebrows, cheeks and forhead. I went to a dermatologist 3 months ago, he gave me topical application of A-Ret Gel (tretinoin 1% ) for two months followed by Levamisole Hydrochloride 150 tablets on Sat-Sunday. It vanished the lesions on my cheeks and eyebrows. But i got some papules on my forhead and when again i consulted, the Doctor gave me Cute E 400 tablets daily to be taken after breakfast for one month with topical application & vitilex tablets. I took 3 months of this medication. Now after all that, presently he has asked me to take Imiquimod cream 5% five days application & weekly Levamisole Hydrochloride 150 tablets, which i have been taking since last 3 weeks. I want to know, i still have got lesions over my cheeks, forhead and eyebrows as they reoccured? How long it will take to cure ? Or else is it going to stay all life long? Please Help.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi.
As per your case history of verruca plana, my treatment advice is -
1. It usually last for 12-15 months.
2. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like fusiderm cream twice daily on it to prevent spread of lesions.
3. Apply a tretinoin 0.025 % cream once at night on lesions.
4. Other treatment options are cryotherapy, cauterization or laser ablation done by a dermato-surgeon.

Thanks.
