General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear
Understand your concern.
Steroid causes increase in leucocyte mostly polymorph leucocyte count called leucocytosis.
It generally occur after 2 week after treatment.
It is due to delayed migration of leucocyte into tissue,
Delyed death of neutrophil
and release of new neutophil from the bone marrow.
But there is no toxic granulation that is present in the infection.

So do not woory it is not infection , it is side effcects of steroids on CBC.

Hope this may help you
Best regards
Dr. Sagar
