What Causes Vaginal Swelling And Bartholin S Cysts?

I am 18 years old and just recently have been getting bartholins cysts. However tonight is the worst it has been, my whole vagina (labia minora) is swollen. Its more on the right side but is very swollen onthe left as well. Towards the bottom of the opening the skin is swollen and pertruding as well. No pain? just extremely swollen and not sure what to do.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

First of all, it's sad to know what you had been going through lately.

Based on the history you have shared, you need to consult your gynaecologist and get your cysts checked as this much pain maybe because of the infection and may need broad-spectrum antibiotics.
Plus for the recurrent cysts get your blood sugar levels checked as you may be suffering from diabetes.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
