What Causes Vaginal Spotting While Taking Nexplanon?

I was on the birth control Nexplanon for 3 months. I had bad side effects so I got it out. The week before I got it out I had spotting for 5 days. Then the last day of spotting I got it out and started a low dose estrogen pill. I took that for 2 days and the spotting had stopped. I have been off birth control for 5 days and want to know if I ovulated after the spotting or how soon could I get pregnant?

Thanks for the query. I understand your problem.
Nexplanon is long acting contraceptive implant . & THe spotting you had was one of the side effect. You had removed it & started with estrogen pill.. when the bleeding stopped... following it, you stopped the pill & the protection also...now, you will have withdrawal bleeding & the your routine mensrual cycle will start.. which will offer you chance of conception.
Usually after removal of Nexplanon, ovulation can follow in 7-14 days But here you had started taking oral contraceptive ( that too estrogen )following the nexplanon.. That will create some hormonal imbalance.. & your chance of conception is least this time..
Please understand hormonal contraceptives are to be taken methodically, started & stopped with doctor's guidance to avoid further confusion.
