What Causes Vaginal Spotting While On Evra Patch?

Hi, i am currently on the Evra patch and the past couple of times where I am supposed to have my period I won t get it until the third day and it will come as a spotting type of blood I was just wondering if you would know as to why it keeps doing this. Thanks

Hello,

The Evra patch is a highly effective birth control patch containing estrogen and progesterone.

If it is being started newly, it is possible to get such spotting and altered cycles for initial 1-2 months; if persists later, have to consult your OBGY for further guidance of hormone imbalance.
