What Causes Vaginal Spotting During Second Trimester Of Pregnancy?

I am 17 weeks and 2 days pregnant. I had a bowel movement and I noticed a tiny bit of pinkish discharge. I made sure that my hands were clean and checked my cervix. I did have a small amount of blood inside of what appeared to be mucus. I had intercourse the night before as well. I have not had any bleeding show up on toilet paper, I only see it when I check my cervix. Is it possible that a bowel movement can cause this? Or can checking my cervix cause it as well?

bowel movement doesn't related to bleeding in cervix , most probably intercourse was the reason for your bleeding , if you don't have any other symptoms like abdominal pain you can ignore this bleed . on safer side I can suggest you to get done ultrasound obstestric scan to check for any unavoidable complications.
