What Causes Vaginal Spotting And Breasts Tenderness During Pregnancy?

8 weeks pregnant with red spotting its been on and off for a few days. I have on and off breast tenderness. and I feel a stretching flutter in my left pelvic area at times. Im very worried about the bleeding and im still waiting for a referral for my ob

During pregnancy, the breasts do get engorged and become tender due to a hormone called as Progesterone. Do not be worried about it. When your bras start becoming tight, please change them to a larger size. Your breasts afterwards will never come back to pre-pregnant size.
Blood spotting at this stage is not a good sign. This is not a normal physiological incidence. Even you are having some painful feeling in the pelvic area also. This is suggesting risk to the pregnancy - threatened abortion.
You need to report to the Obstetrician ASAP.
Meanwhile, if possible, get your Ultrasonography done which can reveal the safety or otherwise of the pregnancy. If there is any separation of the baby, bleeding from the site of implantation or such things will be shown in scan.
Urine Pregnancy Test may not be of any help at this stage as it takes about 8 days for this test to become negative after the baby has become nonviable.
Till you show to Obstetrician, please take complete bed rest, no weight lifting, no sex, no lifting of the weights.
You may require hospitalization, depending upon the findings.
