What Causes Vaginal Spotting After Taking Deviry?

Hi Dr I started taking deviry on 5th Feb .I had it on 5th and 6th. 6th Night i had spotting. By misunderstanding that its normal period and expecting normal flow.I didn t have tablet on 7th Feb. But today (on 8Th Feb )after 2 days also only spotting is there I m nOt developing Normal flow.Please Clarify whether spotting occurs while taking deviry and when should i expect my normal periods

Hi,

Intermittent spotting and irregular periods can happen while taking oral contraceptives like Deviry.

Kindly do not stop the medication when you encounter such symptoms and continue to take it as per the schedule.

Such symptoms should stabilize by about 3 months.

If such symptoms happen frequently, does not subside over a period of time and continues to bother you, you need to seek medical attention.

You may require a change in medication or switch over to other modes of contraception which would suit you.
