What Causes Vaginal Spotting After Menopause?

I stopped my period many years ago & now I am spotting blood. Only off & on. What causes that? I never felt also that I had hot flashes like most women .is that normal. ? I now am 65. This is not for me but a friend who is concerned. I see you have to pay & she does not want to so thank you anyway.
