What Causes Vaginal Pain During Intercourse After Childbirth?
Since having my baby (9 months ago) when ever I have intercourse with my husband it burns, stings and feels like razor blades. My GPS keep taking sti/std tests but neither my husband nor I have been romantically involved with anyone else and I ve never had this pain until I had my daughter (natural birth) with a small graze not huge tearing. I want to see a Gynecologist but they never refer me. It seems to get more and more painful each time I have intercourse with my husband. I burns with I use soap in the shower or even using toilet paper. I really want my virginal area to be normal again.
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Pain and burning during intercourse post child birth could be due to chronic vaginal mucosal inflammation. You need to get examined by a Gynecologist by per speculum and see what could be the reason for it. Also, a vaginal swab culture and sensitivity test also needs to be done, to detect and treat presence of infection, if any. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
