What Causes Vaginal Odor With White And Yellow Discharge?

Hi there, I have a question in regards to a vaginal issue. I think I might have some sort of infection, but before I consult a doctor I would like to know what it might be. The things I am experiencing is vaginal discharge in my underwear. It is both a white and very light yellow colour. I also have a feeling like I have to urinate a little more often than I should, but then again I do drink a lot. I am also concerned about the sour smell..if that was just normal or not. I was wondering if this could be severe or something I can treat myself. Any possible treatments? Thank you kindly.

Thank you for posting your query. I understand your concern.
Your symptoms of vaginal discharge, which is white to yellowish in colour, sour smell with +/- frequent urination suggests a lower Urinary tract infection(UTI).
White(cloudy) to yellowish discharge is suggestive of bacterial infection.
I suggest you do a Urine microscopy examination which gives an idea of no:of WBC(white blood cells)/hpf and confirms presence or absence of infection. Urine culture is required to identify the causative organism. Treatment depends on the type of organism found in culture.
