What Causes Vaginal Discharge With Tenderness Around The Labia?

I started to have vaginal discharge. I treated it with topical antifungal. I am 32, newly married, sexually active. Had 1 previous sex partner (first husband). My now husband has been tested for SDT prior to our wedding. I was also tested. The only change in my routine is i am taking oral iron 2 tabs once daily, and biotin. What could cause the recurring vaginal discharge (no smell, cheese like appearance, minimal tenderness around the labia, no itching).

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hey there,
Thank you for your query in healthcare magic.
I carefully read your query and understand your point of concern

From your presentation you probably have fungal infection that causes excessive vaginal discharge. As it is not responding to topical antifungal preparation then you can take oral antifungal drug like capsule fluconazole or itraconazole for remedy.

Alongwith antifungal drug you should take antihistamine like cetirizine or diphenhydramine for itching.

Hope you will be benefitted.
Wish you good health.
Regards,
Dr. Farhana.
