What Causes Vaginal Bleeding With Clots During Pregnancy?

I am fifth week pregnant through IVF. In fact three embryos were transferred and in scanning last week doctor identify one sac. after that i had slight bleeding four to five times and small pieces like blood clots or i dont know what it is were coming out during urination. Now it was stopped and i experience pain like shock in the lower abdomen. I am scared of these. Is it normal or any complications.

Threatened abortion is the most dreaded complication during pregnancy.
Bleeding and passage of blood clots or tissue pieces could be due to threatened abortion.
Thus, I suggest you to consult your gynecologist without delay for clinical assessment and an ultrasound abdomen.
In case there is any evidence of threatened abortion, it can be managed promptly.
Bleeding and passage of blood clots are unlikely to be due to other causes during pregnancy.
