What Causes Vaginal Bleeding, Stomach Cramps And Body Ache During Pregnancy?

I am 5 weeks pregnant and I thought I was experiancing implantation bleeding but the bleeding is heavy and bright red and I have had slight uncomfortable cramps in my lower stomach for about a day and a half. My breast are sore and my back aches. Not sure what is going on

Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, you need to have an ultrasound pelvis as soon as possible, to rule out any signs of ectopic pregnancy.

Also, any signs of threatened abortion or streak of blood collection around the placenta should be ruled out. In that case, progesterone in synthetic form may be needed to help to sustain the pregnancy.
