Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Dear Sir, the question about my mother, actually her mensuration stop at the age of 43. now she is 63+ again just 2 dyas before she has bleeding but after check up to the doctor the bleeding is less than begining but not completely stop. kindly tell me the reason and the solution.
I read your message carefully regarding your mother's health problems and understood your concerns.
Your mother is experiencing vaginal bleeding during menopause. She has seen the doctor and know her bleeding is reduced but not disappeared.
I would like to know what other diseases your mother have and what medications she takes. Medications like blood thinners may cause vaginal bleeding in this case.
Also, postmenopausal bleeding is caused by some diseases like uterus tumors called polyps or any cancer. Did her gynecologist run any Pap test or colposcopy (transvaginal ultrasound) to evaluate the changes there and to see if there is any abnormal tumor?
Endometrial hyperplasia is a condition where the walls of uterus thicken. Obesity may cause this. If your mother is obese maybe this can be the cause. It can be treated with progestin or progesterone therapy.
As her doctor already prescribed you the medications needed, I suggest you to be patient to see the result in the end. The fact that the bleeding is reduced is a good sign of effective treatment.
Hope it helped Dr.Albana
