General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear
I understand your concern
Vaginal bleeding is due to emergency contraceptive pill.
It cause breakthrough bleeding due to progesterone withdrawal effect.
So you have hormonal imbalance that cause bleeding and pain.
Your next period may be delayed or earlier with heavy bleeding.
Do not use emergency contraceptive pill as a regualr contraception/ frequently, as it cause hormonal imbalance, menstrual irregularity, infertility problem, and ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome.
Take proper rest, drink plenty of water, eat healthy diet.
Tablet meftal spas will help to reduce the pain
Table tranexaemic acid will help to reduce the bleeding if it is excessive and longer than 10 days.
Hope this may help you
