What Causes Vaginal Bleeding After Urinating?

My 5 yr old daughter has light vaginal bleeding after urinating. No burning or other discharge or signs of infection. No pain or physical abuse. She had surgery on 01-13-15 for an umbilical hernia. Is this normal and when and should I be most concerned

Hi...By what you quote as there is painless or effortless bleeding - so I would like to consider the possibilities of -
1. Cystitis - inflammation of the urinary baldder
2. Renal colic - stones in the urinary tract.
3. I feel this is unrelated to the surgery she underwent.
