Hi, I m 57 years old and am in Menopause. I had a IUD which was removed last may. I have not had a period in the last 6 years. I started bleeding this week and the blood is bright red and increasing in amount, even bloodcloths. Should I be worried

Hi, I think you should go for evaluation first. Get a pelvic examination done by a gynecologist to rule out atrophic vaginitis. Also go for a ultrasound to see the endometrial thickness. If it is more than 4 mm, you will need endometrial biopsy to rule out endometrial carcinoma. Discuss with your doctor regarding this. You can take medicines like Tranexamic acid to stop the bleeding.
