What Causes Vaginal Bleeding After A PAP Smear Test?

Hello Doc, Just got my papsmear yesterday and with it I feel shy to ask my gynecologist why there was blood while she do the smear. I dont have my period and I am so worried about the blood I saw from the cotton she used to clean the discharge. what is the specific caused of those bleeding? :( am I have a very serious case? Am I not able to have baby if ever?

Hello,

A Pap smear is just sampling from the cervix. It will not make you infertile. As there is sampling, there might be some raw area which may cause bleeding.

But you may be having bleeding from the original disease for which you were subjected to a pap smear.
