What Causes Urinary Incontinence While On Treatment For UTI?
I currently have an uti. For which im being treated. For the past 2 days I have uncontrollable urges and leakage. Sometimes before this one times uti I get urges and some leakage. I take diovan 80/12.5 which has a diuretic..would flow max be a solution?
UTI usually causes the symptoms like frequent urination. Drinking plenty of water also leads to such symptoms. So watch the amount of water you are drinking, if it’s more then this is normal to have urge to urinate frequently. There are other factors which also can cause these symptoms like diabetes. I would suggest you get your blood sugar levels checked. I would advise you to continue the medicines for UTI for the recommended period. Do not change or add up any other medicine without consulting your doctor as the drug interactions can be dangerous. Visit your doctor in person if the issue persists for long.
Hope this helps. Feel free to contact for any further queries in the future.
Regards,
Dr. Manisha Auradkar, General & Family Physician
