What Causes Urinary Incontinence And How Can It Be Treated?
I was reading about Uncontrolled urination but I dont think its urine yet Im not sure. I was standing in public when all of a sudden water leaked out without me being aware until I realized my shoes were wet and I ran to the toilet yet I didnt want to pee. It seemed like a waterbreak for a pregnant woman yet Im not pregnant. My husband brought me home and after a shower I was washing dishes and it did the same thing. I didnt even feel it until too late on my feet. Ive never had anything like this happen ever before! Any ideas?
Urinary incontinence is common among with women after 50 and usually is caused by urinary infections or weakened the pelvic floor. This is also a common and often embarrassing problem. If overreactive or incontinent bladder affects your daily activities, don't hesitate to see your doctor.
For most people, simple lifestyle changes or medical treatment can ease discomfort. It is treated with specific medications, pelvic floor muscles exercises, electric stimulation of behavioral treatment and in most cases this is adequate for incontinence control. If cystitis is a cause as a bacterial infection then it must be treated with antibiotics. Surgical options are reserved for severe and intractable cases.
