What Causes Urinary And Bowel Incontinence While Suffering From Diabetes?

My husband has Type II diabetes. His A1C has decreased at his last doctor s appointment. His weight has gone down each of the last several appointments, even though I don t think he is eating much less and know he is not exercising more. He also does not follow a diabetic type diet. Recently his breath has been smelling just like my student (I work in a public elementary school) when her blood sugar is running very high. In the last couple weeks he has had intermittent urgency of urine and bowels. Yesterday, he didn t make it to the bathroom at home before he was urinating and shortly after he had a BM. What do you think? Can we wait until his next doctor appointment in mid-late Nov? Thanks. My email is YYYY@YYYY

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Asper your history he has diabetic patient ,may I know what medication he is taking right now and what is his sugar level last time?See whether he is taking vitamin B complex or not.Take regularly and it has no relation with urinary and bowel incontinence.Check whether he has herniated disk or myelites by doing brain and spinal CT scan.
