What Causes Unusual Taste In Mouth After Puffing Meth?

I used meth (snorted) for the first time last night and now have a white, metallic tasting coating on my tongue. I consumed nothing but water yesterday. The white coating brushes off with a toothbrush but it comes back in an hour or so. What is this stuff?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query unusual taste in mouth after puffing Meth is because of a condition called Meth Mouth in which acid released from meth decreases PH of oral cavity and makes environment acidic which causes soreness of tongue, hyperpigmentaion on gums, deposition of calculus an debris on tongue. I would suggest you to immediately stop smoking meth as it is injurious to your oral health. Brush and floss daily. Do massage of gums for proper circulation. Do tongue scrapping as well as it will stop further deposits. Apply zytee gel for local application and take vitamin B complex supplements. Drink plenty of water to maintain hydration. Visit dentist once if your symptoms keeps on persisting.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
