What Causes Unusual Sounds In Head?

Yes, thank you. I hear noises in my head. Not ringing and not music. These noises sound like someone clapping 2 boards together. I used to think I was hearing noises coming from my house shifting, but today there are many more episodes and they all sound like wood encountering wood. I didn t used to worry about them, but now that I am age 76 I am beginning to worry that it might be a a medical problem. Is it?

Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, this is not because of any disease but this is functional condition and chances of auditory hallucination is very likely, try to control you thought, be positive, try some aerobic exercise, relaxation therapy, no need to worry about this, have enough of sleep, hope this information helps, take care.
