What Causes Unusual Smell On The Skin In A Premenopausal Woman?

My problem is for the past 4or 5 months I noticed a sulfur smell on my skin. I ve been taking several tablespoons of Apple Cider Vinegar a day along with at least 6 glasses of water through out the day. I also take multi- vitamins, biotin tablets, and at least 4 to 6 garlic pills throughout the day to help keep my BP in order. I no longer take BP medication. I m a 52 yr old pre- menapausal woman. I also noticed my hair is several falling out in the front.

Hello,

I understand your concern. You mention a sulfur smell from your skin, and mention you take garlic to control your blood pressure. Garlic can certainly cause sweat glands to excrete an odor onto the skin. You may try decreasing the amount of garlic you consume and may try mint to help mask the odor. Drinking an additional 2 to 3 cups of water a day can help flush the garlic out of your body. To control blood pressure make sure you exercise daily and eat plenty of fruits and vegetables.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Best regards,
Dr. Maria M Schilling Acosta
