Hi,

A headache is a very common complaint among people. The skin around the head is very sensitive to pain stimulus. It starts to pain even with milestone stimuli. Most of the headaches occur only around skin surrounding scalp, not on the inner side of the brain. Therefore, you should not get MRI scan done till your doctor suggests it because it will be normal mostly.

You can take the above-mentioned treatment but if you have some other associated symptoms like anxiety, low mood and decreased interest in things, you might opt for seeing a psychiatrist. He would be a better person to treat you.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Vandana Patidar,
