What Causes Uncontrollable Temper In A Child?

I have an 8 year old granddaughter who is unable to control her temper. Her parents are not together. The father has had drug issues and is never around - he hadn t seen his daughter in over two years. Now he has come back into her life. When she doesn t get her way she throws things, breaks things, screams and is generally out of control. This happens at school, home and when she plays. Her mother has put her in timeout, but it just doesn t stop. She has even tried to hurt her younger sister. My daughter has called me in tears so many times. I just don t know how to help her or my granddaughter. I have suggested to talk to a doctor, which she says she will try, but I know funds are very limited. What can I offer to help her or where can she get help

And this causes psychiatric illness in child.
Her current symptoms are more suggestive of childhood psychiatric illness.
So better to consult psychiatrist and get done counselling sessions.
Counselling sessions play very important role in children.
She may need other supportive drugs too. Along with counselling sessions and drugs, positive, supportive family environment also help a lot into recovery.
